Who We Are
Formerly known as the Triple Helix Journal, the Carnegie Mellon Policy and Law Review is a student-run publication that seeks to provide students with greater exposure to public policy and legal issues.
We offer students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of policy and legal issues through research and writing, while also offering a forum where students can engage in scholarly debate that challenges and broadens their worldview.
However, beyond advancing knowledge of public policy and legal issues, CMUPLR is committed to fostering professional development and strengthening student’s writing skills. We sponsor events that bring experts in public policy and law to campus to discuss career paths, but also to share strategies and techniques that further develop students’ expertise in policy and legal analysis.
As CMU’s only public policy and legal publication, we are dedicated to assisting students in developing their passions as well as equipping them with crucial skills that will propel them into their professional careers.
